What an amazing commercial!
An arguably well-known company named Budweiser is known for their ad campaigns every year during Super Bowl season. For this year, the organization has recently unveiled their 2019 Super Bowl commercial, which features their symbolic Clydesdale horses, wind turbines, a Dalmatian and even Bob Dylan.
The commercial begins with a Dalmatian whose his ears are blown wide open by the wind, with blasting Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind” serving as the background music.
“It’s more than just beer. This commercial is for everyone. It’s something we should be thinking about every day,” says Angie Slaughter, who is Anheuser-Busch’s vice-president of sustainability.
As the shot zooms out of the first frame, the Dalmatian is seen riding on top of an classic Budweiser carriage, which was pulled by a herd of harnessed Clydesdales. The scene then switches to show viewers a large grass field with some wind turbines spinning all around the area. This references the company’s new usage of renewable energy in all of its breweries – and its the first step towards clean energy.
Ricardo Marques, the group vice president of marketing core and value brands for Anheuser-Busch, remarks that the commercial is “an instant classic” to their staff. The commercial brings not just one, but two powerful messages – and it has certainly left us amazed!
“The ad brings you the classic elements. Then it brings you something new. We think that combination is very powerful.”
